US President Barack Obama said during his meeting with the US military, that next week the United States completed its combat mission in Afghanistan.
President praised the "extraordinary service" of US troops in the country and stressed that due to this "Afghanistan has a chance to recover."
Obama said that the US military campaign gave the Afghans to rebuild their country and, at the same time, strengthen the security of the United States. Afghanistan, as Obama said, will no longer be a source of terrorist attacks.
Obama told a crowd of 420 people, including troops and their families, gathered in the U.S. Marine base's Anderson Hall dining facility that Afghanistan is "not going to be a source of terrorist attacks again."
Oh, really? Has Obama informed ISIS they would not be a source of terrorist attacks? This is somewhat like a football team walking off a field at half-time and claiming victory. But then, we all know Obama.enjoys blowing his own horn with his wife standing by his side. This makes for a good photo-op..
Saying they have " made Afghanistan stronger and our countries safer" while "The ceremony was arranged in secret due to the threat of Taliban strikes in the Afghan capital" ... Hmmmm...kinda a contradiction, dontcha think?
So now the Taliban, or Afghan resistance fighters, whoever....have defeated TWO superpowers...the USSR and the USA. IF you think we won, please see "arranged in secret due to the threat of Taliban strikes".
GWB didn't learn the lesson from the USSR invasion of Afghanistan, Obama didn't heed the lesson AND ignored the timeline since GWB invaded.
IS Afghanistan better? I think not. It is only a matter of time until they revert back to how it was before.
Pull EVERYBODY out. DESTROY each and every piece of weaponry that you cannot extract. STOP all foreign aid. They will get money from the other terrorist organizations.
No sense in giving them money and weapons that will be used against us.
I don't believe that the war against us (The Infidels) will ever end. Now that we are gone, the violence and attacks on the people there will only increase and now we have provided another hideout for ISIS. Let alone the heroine trade will also now be unhindered. Having spoken to several of my friends that spent time there (non-military), about all they ever did was fly around Afghan VIPS and go and locate poppy fields. The war is NOT over. don't be fooled by what Osama bin Obama says.
